UNIQUE AND DELICIOUS FARE BY CHEF SHERRY GRIMES
Chef Sherry Grimes, a former Neuroscientist and life-long food enthusiast. She completed her formal training at The French Culinary Institute after over ten years of self-directed culinary adventures. During her culinary studies, she honed her skills as a student cook at L’Ecole, the International Culinary Center of The French Culinary Institute, serving classic and contemporary French cuisine. She was then quickly hired as a Sauté Chef at one of New York’s finest seasonal restaurants, Superfine in DUMBO. While on the East Coast, Sherry was an active participant in New York and New Jersey’s urban agriculture movement as a former farmer at La Finca Del Sur, the first female founded and operated farm in the South Bronx. Chef Grimes' passion for food and cooking is evident in every detail of her work. From sourcing, menu planning, and presentation, Sherry keeps in mind the specific tastes and desires of each individual client and strives to bring the freshest, local ingredients to your table. In 2012, she was chosen to cook for President Obama and the First Lady at a presidential fundraiser at Jean-Georges’ ABC Kitchen. Some clients include: The James Beard Foundation, Nathan Cummings Foundation, Black Farmers & Urban Gardeners, Merck, North Star Fund, Local Economies Project: New World Foundation, Mertz Gilmore Foundation and The Horticultural Society of NY.
